Our Monday got off to a great start!  Our Kindergarteners got straight to work practicing their sorting skills from last week at independent work time!

It wasn't long before the children discovered we had a BIG problem.  Someone had been into our classroom and mixed up some of our things!  They think it may have been our classroom bear, Bruno, since he gets up to mischief sometimes, but we don't know for sure!

The children quickly
got to work practicing
their sorting skills.

Once they sorted the toys out many of them continued sorting their items further.  For example...they sorted all the buttons from the pencils, animals and beads, and continued on to sort the buttons into correct colours. The magic of this Monday was in the engaged and intense conversations that each pair was having about how to sort the items!

Our Kindergarteners are sorting extraordinaires!

Later on we used the SMART board to sort some shapes in three different ways.

Next week this will be a centre for the children to explore independently.

It was so wonderful to meet all of you at Parent Teacher Conferences.
Thank you for taking the time to come to meet us and to talk about how your child is adjusting to Kindergarten!
Please remember to come and talk to us or send us an email if you have any questions or concerns about your child or our Kindergarten program.

🌞 Have a lovely weekend...hopefully we'll get some sunshine!  🌞

❤️Mrs. Seddon
