What a busy day we had in Kindergarten today!

First we learned a new math game and used our subitizing skills!  Working with a partner we rolled a dice and took turns placing chips on a Christmas tree or gingerbread man.  We love playing math games together!

Next we read Little Blue Trucks Christmas and saw Christmas lights in patterns all over the book!  We discussed all the pretty patterns that we see when we look at Christmas lights outside.

Here was our problem today:

You are putting Christmas lights on your house.  You have red, green and blue lights in a pattern.  What is the colour of the 10th light on your house?

We are learning to represent our work in various ways.  In order to show which light was the 10th light, some children circled the light, some wrote numbers and some wrote words.

Today was a VERY exciting day in the gym.  All our gymnastics equipment was out.  After learning all about being safe we got to work climbing, balancing and exploring!  We have some budding gymnasts in our classes!

Centre time was fun too!

I am looking forward to meeting with you all at Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday and Friday.  See you then!
