It has been such a pleasure to spend the whole week with your beautiful and amazing children!

We had an incredible week working every day with Dani, our special teacher from Quest Theatre!

Most of our time with Dani was spent playing dramatic games, using our imaginations and learning to express ourselves through drama.

Dani was so much fun...full of energy and happiness and we had so much fun playing and laughing with her!

Dani read all the stories that the children wrote at home with you and discovered the common theme of family within them.  She asked the children what things they like to do with their families and recorded their answers.

Next Dani used the children's ideas to write our play, entitled 'Togetherness'.
We learned our play a little each day until we were ready to practice it on the stage.  We learned about the stage, the lights and the music.

Next we actually practiced on the stage!

For many children this was their FIRST ever experience performing on a stage, with bright lights, and a big audience.  I am SO proud of them all for having the courage to get up there and perform!  This was a BIG DEAL for many of them!

While Quest Theatre took up most of our time this week, we still found some time to work and play in our classroom.

We discovered that Q is for....Quest Theatre!

We also explored all the ways we could make the number 6, and came up with some pretty tricky ones!

We also talked about the + - and = signs and used these to write about the number 6.  Addition and Subtraction are not expectations in Kindergarten but so many of our little ones are excited to experiment with writing numbers this way so we gave it a try and they rocked it!

We also had so much fun at centres painting, building and exploring.

What an amazing week!

Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you on Monday!
