Our Kindergarteners have become 3D shape experts!

They are comfortably naming and describing cubes, cones, spheres, cylinders and prisms!
They have been challenged to draw these shapes and also to create them with plasticine and toothpicks!

The morning class created their shapes when I was here last Friday and the afternoon class created theirs today.

Just look at the concentration...

This was a great challenge for our fine motor skills, a good test of our patience and perseverance, and a great way to enhance understanding of 3D shapes!

We were all so excited when we succeeded!

Today the morning class worked on the number 7.
To connect with the excitement in our classroom about planting seeds, our math problem today was about planting 7 seeds...some were carrots and some were radishes.

We were VERY excited to see that some of the seeds we have planted have begun to grow!

As always, we had a FUN day at school!

See you next Monday!
